Publishing Ethics Statement

A good sense of ethics and practicing ethical standards are crucial for everyone involved in academic research, writing, and publishing."Information studies Theory and Practice" refers to the publication ethics code of internationally renowned publishing groups and formulates the "Information studies:Theory & Application" Publication Ethics Statement (hereinafter referred to as this statement) based on the work practice of this journal , which mainly explains the publication ethics policy of this journal and The system provides a reference for authors, peer reviewers, editors, research funders, readers, etc. to implement compliance activities throughout the entire paper publishing process.

This statement will be officially implemented after being approved by the plenary meeting of the editorial board of this journal.

1Responsibilities and obligations of each subject

1.1Author Responsibilities

The named author of a scientific research paper should truthfully reflect the author's work and contribution. According to international scientific research paper standards, author qualifications must meet the following four conditions:

(1) Make substantial contributions in major work such as design conception, experimental research, data collection, and result analysis;

(2) Write articles or make key contributions to important academic content;

(3) Review and finalize articles to be published;

(4) This journal requires that all named authors meet one of the above conditions and agree to take responsibility for all aspects of the research work to ensure that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the paper are appropriately investigated and resolved.

According to the author contribution expression examples of international mainstream journals, author contributions can be divided into the following contents:

(1) The formulation and design of research propositions, including the formulation of a specific viewpoint or method;

(2) Implementation of the research process, such as conducting experiments or surveys;

(3) Data acquisition, provision and analysis;

(4) Paper drafting or revision.

Author Conflict of Interest Statement: Authors should read this statement before submitting their work to this journal and be familiar with the publication ethics policy of this journal. The act of submitting implicitly agrees to the contents of this statement. Each author is responsible for the originality, accuracy and completeness of the work. The content of the work is required to comply with national laws. The submitted work has not been publicly disseminated in other forms and needs to ensure that it does not infringe the rights of third parties.

Our journal does not charge review fees; manuscript fees will be paid after the paper is published.

1.2 Responsibilities of peer reviewers

(1) Peer review experts review manuscripts scientifically and accurately and make objective and fair evaluations. It is not influenced by the source of the article or the author's attribution. The reviewed manuscripts will be evaluated on academic grounds only. The selection of manuscripts will not be affected by the contributor's race, gender, religion, belief, status, qualifications and authority. He must clearly state his views with sufficient arguments and facts. To help the editor judge the choice of manuscript; to provide detailed opinions on the problems existing in the article to help the author improve the quality of the paper.

(2) Respect the authors research results and avoid manuscripts with interests. (3) Fill in the review comments on the reviewed manuscripts on time and provide feedback to the editorial department within the specified time. If it cannot be completed on time, the editorial department should be informed promptly.

(4) Keep the reviewed manuscripts strictly confidential, do not circulate or discuss them with others, and do not use or publish the data, opinions, and conclusions of the reviewed manuscripts.

(5) All review comments and information must be kept confidential and may not be used for personal use.

Declaration of Conflicts of Interest by Peer Reviewers: If a peer reviewer has a potential conflict of interest due to competition, collaboration, or other relationships/associations with authors, companies, or institutions related to the paper submitted for review, the peer reviewer needs to expressly disclose and consult with the editor before agreeing to review the manuscript. 1.3 Editors Responsibilities

(1) Strictly implement relevant national laws and regulations, abide by academic publishing ethics and norms, and maintain scientific research integrity. Process all manuscripts in a timely and fair manner to ensure that the edited manuscripts are of high quality and published on time.

(2) Follow the principle of objectivity and neutrality, and there should be no bias against the authors work unit, gender, professional title, academic honors, etc.

(3) Follow the principle of confidentiality, on the one hand to protect the author's submission information; on the other hand to protect the identity information of reviewers and other relevant personnel in the editorial department during the blind review process.

(4) Selection of manuscripts in a fair, impartial and timely manner, and acceptance or rejection of articles based only on the scientific nature, innovation, clarity, etc. of the paper and its compatibility with the journal's manuscript collection scope.

(5) Obligation to communicate regarding academic misconduct. If there is an academic ethics complaint about submitting a paper or publishing an article, you must communicate effectively and respond proactively.

Editorial Conflict of Interest Statement: Editors must not participate in decisions regarding papers they have authored, papers written by family members or colleagues, or papers in which the editor has an interest. Editors must follow all regular procedures of the journal when submitting papers.

 

2.Handling academic misconduct

This journal has always adhered to strict academic ethical standards and resolutely put an end to all academic misconduct. Throughout the entire process of paper publication, once clues of academic misconduct are discovered, we will work hard to assist relevant institutions in investigating. For academic misconduct identified by relevant institutions, measures such as retraction statements can be taken. This journal uses the Scientific and Technological Journal Academic Misconduct Document Detection System (AMLC) to detect academic misconduct on submitted manuscripts. Academic misconduct includes, but is not limited to, the following types.

2.1 Duplicate publication of content

(1) Multiple submissions for one manuscript: The same paper or multiple papers with only slight differences (such as paper title, keywords, abstract, author order, author affiliation, or the main body of the paper with a small amount of difference) are submitted to multiple journals , or transfer it to other journals within the agreed or legal period.

(2) Split publication: Research results that are essentially based on the same topic, data, and materials that could have been published at once are divided into several publishable units and published as multiple papers.

(3) Repeated publication: Repeating a large amount of content from one's own published works in the paper without proper explanation.

In addition, the following two situations will not be considered as duplicate publications:

(1) Abstracts (briefings), reports (informing participants of research findings), result sets (uninterpreted data, discussions, article content or conclusions presented in tabular form) at academic conferences, and lists of inappropriate uses A textual description of the data/information being described).

(2) Under the premise of obtaining relevant permission, accurately translate the original work into other languages, clearly indicate that the paper has been translated and republished, and indicate the original source.

If the paper is found to have duplicate content, the editorial office will withdraw it.

2.2 The author conceals conflicts of interest

Authors have a responsibility to disclose conflicts of interest that may affect their ability to conduct objective research. This includes interests related to financial (such as patent and stock holdings, consulting fees, lecture fees), personal, political, intellectual or religious interests. If an author is found to have intentionally concealed a conflict of interest, the author will be notified to add a conflict of interest statement.

2.3 Forgery/Tampering

(1) Forgery: fabricating or fabricating data or facts.

(2) Tampering: Deliberately changing data and facts to make them lose their authenticity.

In addition to forging and tampering with the content of the paper, it also includes malicious manipulation of data. If a paper is found to be forged or tampered with, the editorial office will retract it.

2.4 Plagiarism (plagiarism)

  Plagiarism : directly publishing other people's or existing ideas, opinions, data, images, research methods, text expressions, etc. in one's own name without citing or explaining it, and excessively quoting the content of other people's published documents.

If the paper is found to contain plagiarism, the editorial office will retract it.

 

3. Withdrawal of manuscript

For published articles, if it is found that there is legal infringement, defamation or other legal restrictions, or if academic misconduct has been confirmed (certificated by an authoritative organization), the journal will promptly issue a retraction notice in the following manner:

(1) Once it is determined that an article published by our journal contains academic misconduct or legal restrictions, the journal will issue a retraction notice in a timely manner.

(2) The retraction statement will clearly cite the original text and give the reasons for the retraction.

(3) Promptly withdraw the electronic version of the paper.

 

4. Change of authorship

When an author submits a manuscript through our journal's online submission system, the author order and responsibility are clarified. Generally, changes in authorship will no longer be accepted . Once a manuscript has been accepted, the editor will consider adding, deleting, or rearranging the order of authors only in exceptional circumstances.

To change the author's identity , the corresponding author needs to provide the following information:

(1)Reasons for author list changes;

(2)Written confirmation (including email, letter) from all authors of their consent to add, remove or rearrange content relevant to the article. In the case of adding or removing an article author, confirmation of the added or removed author is required.
